- Sense of purpose comes through community
- The things of God come more naturally within community
- The context of community makes Biblical concepts make more sense
- Salvation is a result of meeting God. Meeting God is a result of experiencing community
- Community forces religious knowledge into experience
- The biblical “you” is really “you-all”
- God does not speak to me for my benefit
- God will work in individuals through the community
- Don’t focus on proliferation of the church, but rather focus on improving the quality of life of the society in which the church is embedded.
- We carry things that we don’t know about. Community will expose the need and the power to drop them
- Hospitality is not sharing extra, peripheral resources, its charing the very resources we rely on and enjoy daily.
- Where is the balance between daily life and career?
- Community provides exposure to Godly examples of living out character and wisdom; then transformation occurs subconsciously and automatically
- We can find community in many places. Is it Christ-centered?
- Community provides new perspectives regarding problems and what is important.
